INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a standard loaf pan and set aside. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the sugar and butter for 7 minutes total. This will incorporate the air it needs to make the cake rise. Scrape down the sides and beat for an additional minute. Add the vanilla and beat on low. Add in eggs one at a time and once all are incorporated, beat in salt. Slowly beat in flour and cocoa powder. Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until a knife comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
